There are a number of considerations when buying a mobile phone, but the most important factor is what you intend to use the phone for. Every modern phone will perform all of the basic functions to a reasonable degree, but some are more suited to specific tasks than others.
Gaming is one use of a mobile phone which is gaining popularity in recent years, especially since vendors are producing more powerful phones in each new release.
If you are interested in big console type multiplayer online games for example, then it is important to get a phone with as powerful and fast processor as you can. An ideal phone would be the Samsung Galaxy S4 which has a quad core processor that runs at 1.9 GHz. This phone also has an excellent large 5-inch display which is another big plus when it comes to gaming. Anything much larger would be a little inconvenient, so in many ways this is a perfect gaming phone. But consequently with premium specs comes a premium price also.

If your gaming interests are primarily online gambling, then you don’t need such a high powered processor as the Galaxy S4. RiverBelle Casino games are not overly demanding in terms of processing power so you can get away with slower cheaper phones. For instance the LG Optimus is considerably cheaper and although it has an inferior display it is just about adequate.
The iPhone 5 remains a good phone for gambling. Although it doesn’t boast a particularly large display, it is only 4 inches; it is one of the brightest displays around. At the moment Apple is losing ground to other vendor like Samsung, HTC, Nokia and Sony, but come September the 10th it might regain its user base depending on what they will announce on that day.
Nowadays most phones are 4G enabled and this is an extremely important consideration for online gambling. Over the next few months full 4G services using the freshly released 800 MHz frequency band will be rolled out which will provide 98% of users with fast reliable connectivity, just ensure that your phone can connect to it.

I recently got a Nexus 5, and it is the best phone I've seen for gaming. I've experienced absolutely no lag, which is unheard of for me. The screen is also a perfect size, not too big, not too small, and the phone is incredibly responsive.

I have to agree that the Samsung is the best smart phone for gaming and the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 has 1080p with 5.1 inch screen. The battery life is the problem sometimes and I think the newer smart phones are using newer technology and longer battery life, even the mAh are the same.

I've been using my Sony Z3 for playing online poker. So far no problem, it's fast and the graphics is amazing.
