Today is the day! Today Three has announced the sale of the iPhone 4 in the UK nationwide in Three stores and online. • Dear iPhone 4 User, Here Is How You Can Get Your Free Bumper And Case

Following Steve Jobs’ promise at the Special Apple Press Conference last week, this morning iPhone 4 users woke up with an email from Apple in their inbox.  The email is confirming the eligibility of the user to get a free iPhone 4 Bumper (or a selected third-party case).  It’s also giving a further instruction to download the iPhone 4 Case Program App, where the user can pick and claim the Bumper/Case. After downloading and running the iPhone Case Program App, you will be presented... Read→

  • iPhone 4 Hands-On Reviews Are Starting To Surface

It seems that some ‘very lucky’ people has been allowed to play around with the iPhone 4 before the launch date on Thursday the 24th, and now that Apple’s embargo has been lifted up, we can read some of these reviews. The reviewers seem to be divided into 2 camps, in one side are the tech-journalists from the mainstream media, and on the other side are the tech-bloggers. It is interesting to read the each reviews from both camps, because they have different emphasis and depth. Reviews... Read→

  • The Ultimate UK iPhone 4 Monthly Prices And Tariffs Guide (Spreadsheet) [Updated]

It’s not too long until we can get our sweat palm on the new iPhone 4, and I must say here in the UK we are quite spoiled with choices.  For a start, you can go SIM-Free!  When you buy one of the handset from one of the Apple Store on a full price, you get it unlocked!  You are free to put any SIM card from any partner network you fancy. Most of us though, will either already be having some kind of contract with our existing network provider, or to skint to fork for £599 :)  In which... Read→

  • iPhone 4 Will Only Be Available For Existing O2 UK Customers At Launch

Well … well … well … just right after I wrote my post about O2 UK pricing and plans for the new iPhone 4, I’ve got an email from O2, saying that only O2 customers will have their hands first on the new iPhone 4 at the launch day, and this preferential treatment will continue at least until the end of July. Here is some excerpt from what O2 say at their site: iPhone stock will be extremely limited in the UK at launch and not everybody who wants one will be able to get one... Read→

[UPDATE] At the end Three did post their prices and plans, and launch the iPhone 4 in time. But for me it was already to late. Though it should be ok, if you are an existing Three customers, or you missed the first round of iPhone 4 sales. I’ve updated also my spreadsheet comparison of iPhone 4 prices and tariffs from all 4 networks including Three. [UPDATE] @ThreeMobileBuzz told me that ‘as far as they are aware of there is no delay on the launch date of iPhone 4 on Three network’.... Read→

Ok, I admit, I should’ve checked first before I posted my last write-up … sorry about that.  So, apparently Vodafone has also released its iPhone Pricing and Plans. Checking at the list, in a glance, it seems to me that O2 still has the best deals.  The only things that could make a difference with Vodafone’s pricing is the inclusion of 1GB Data allowance across the whole tariffs.  O2 only has 1GB cap in its highest tariff. Another advantage from Vodafone’s tariffs is... Read→

UK iPhone 4 Pricing And Plans From O2 Are The Cheapest So Far

Posted by Chris Prakoso On June - 18 - 2010

We’ve read Vodafone’s pricing and plans (well the leak anyway), and we saw the price list from Orange.   Yesterday was O2‘s turn!  As you’ve probably known, O2 was the first, and for a long time, the only UK network that had the monopoly for the Apple iPhone.  I, myself has been an O2 iPhone customer for almost 2 years.  Naturally a big expectation (and big pressures) rested on O2 to give its customers the best deal in regards to the new iPhone 4 pricing and plans. O2... Read→

Orange-UK iPhone 4 Pricing And Plans Revealed

Posted by Chris Prakoso On June - 16 - 2010

Following yesterday’s leak from Vodafone of their iPhone 4 pricing and plans, as reported by some of the Tech-Blogs, today Orange has confirmed their iPhone Prices and Plans at their website. Comparing the range of prices and plans from Vodafone and Orange, assuming Vodafone will still go with those plans (they took down the site, claiming that it was just a test page), it seems to me that Vodafone has got better prices and plans, not too mention a higher bandwidth cap, which is 1GB, compare... Read→

O2 UK Said Goodbye To iPhone Unlimited Data Plan

Posted by Chris Prakoso On June - 15 - 2010

Three years ago, when I got my iPhone 3G with an Unlimited Data Plan with O2. I couldn’t believe my luck, considering that practically everywhere in the world went metered.  I snerred everytime people moaned about how small their data allowance was, as I watched countless YouTube clips, browsed the Interweb, checked my Twitter and Facebook, and streamed BBC iPlayer and my Spotify playlist to my heart’s content, or until my battery is gone. All of these via the 3G network! Freedom was... Read→

Posted by Chris Prakoso On May - 21 - 2010

If you have ever been in a long-haul flight (8 hours or more) in Economy Class, you would know that unless you are able to sleep all the way, the only thing that would keep you away from insanity is the so called InFlight Entertainment.  Depending on whom you are flying with, and which route you are taking, the system normally takes in a form of a screen attached in the back of a seat in front of you, or if you are unlucky, it will be a screen that comes down from the ceiling on top of every other... Read→
